Lateral elbow pain that has almost nothing to do with tennis and everything to do with grip.
Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylalgia) is a tendon problem at the outside of the elbow, where the muscles that extend the wrist attach. Most people who get it have never held a racquet — it comes from work, tools, keyboards and the gym.
Load management first — identifying what is provoking it, which is often something you do not think of as exercise. Then progressive loading for the wrist extensors and the whole arm. Shockwave therapy is a reasonable addition where it has been present for months.
Typically several months. It is a condition where people improve steadily and then undo it by returning to full load too early, so we stage the return.
Only the ones that make sense for this problem — listing all three on every page would be advertising, not information.

A counterforce brace can reduce symptoms enough to let you keep working while the tendon rebuilds. It is a tool inside the plan, not the plan.
No. Tendons need load to adapt. We reduce the provoking load and add the right load, rather than removing all of it.
Pain inhibits the muscles that grip, so weakness is a symptom of the condition rather than a separate problem. It returns as the tendon does.
Not sure this is what you have? That is exactly what an assessment is for — and if it turns out to be something else, we will tell you.
