Hands-on physiotherapy, exercise physiology, remedial massage and clinician-led classes — in one clinic on Montague Road, minutes from South Brisbane, Highgate Hill and the CBD.
We combine expert assessment with advanced technology — Neubie, TECAR and Shockwave — and strength-based rehab, so you recover properly rather than just feel better for a day.
Most people arrive at our West End clinic with one of three goals. Pick the one that sounds like you.
Something hurts and you want it properly assessed, explained and treated.
Exercise-based care for something that has been with you for months or years.
You want to build strength, confidence and resilience — supervised, not guessed at.
Assessment, hands-on treatment, rehabilitation, classes and prevention — all under one roof on Montague Road, so you are never handed between clinics mid-recovery.
What it is, what causes it, how we treat it here, and how long it honestly takes — including when to see a doctor instead.
Good physiotherapy starts with clinical reasoning. We back it with technology that targets treatment and measures progress — and at Forge that standard is available to every client, not just the elite ones.

Acoustic pulses that break the stalemate in long-standing injuries — plantar fasciitis, Achilles and shoulder tendinopathy. Added to a consultation fee.
Learn moreAlso on site: gait scan analysis and custom-made orthotics, and a fully equipped strength floor used for rehabilitation rather than general gym training.
Before you commit to a pack or a membership somewhere else, train with us for ten consecutive days. Reformer Pilates, Studio Pilates, Strength & Conditioning, Stretch & Trigger and Fit Over 50 — all included, in a studio where the biggest class is six people.
Clinical Classes are not part of the trial — they run 4:1 with a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist and need an assessment first.
Easing symptoms is the first week, not the plan. What keeps an injury from coming back is strength, control and load tolerance — which is why our rehab happens on a gym floor, not only on a plinth.
HICAPS on site for physiotherapy, exercise physiology and remedial massage — your private health rebate comes off the invoice on the spot, so you only pay the gap. Every current fee is on the pricing page.
Registered with most funds, with on-the-spot claiming through HICAPS. Clinical classes may also be claimable once they have been prescribed — we can quote your rebate before you start.
With a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, Medicare rebates typically cover up to five allied health sessions a year. We do not bulk bill; you pay on the day and the rebate returns to your account.
Bring an approved claim number and a current medical certificate and we bill WorkCover directly — for physiotherapy and exercise physiology alike.
Appointments and some classes can be claimed through DVA. Bring your referral from your GP and we handle the rest.
Physiotherapy and exercise physiology for plan-managed and self-managed participants, in the clinic or at home.
Home Care Package funding for strength, balance and mobility work — in the clinic or as a home visit, with travel included in the fee.
Insurance and CTP claims need a claim number from your insurer. You are welcome to pay privately while you wait — those sessions are typically reimbursed.
Easy to reach from South Brisbane, Highgate Hill, Dutton Park, Woolloongabba and South Bank, and a short run from the CBD.
Hydrotherapy runs at Musgrave Park Swimming Centre in South Brisbane; a pool entry ticket is required.
Referrals, rebates, classes and getting here — answered up front. There are more in our full FAQ.
No. Anyone can book a private appointment with us directly — you do not need to see a GP first.
A referral is only needed if you want the visit funded another way: a Medicare GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, DVA, WorkCover or an insurance claim.
An initial consultation runs 60 minutes; follow-ups are 30, 45 or 60 minutes depending on what your condition needs. The fee depends on which clinician you see.
Every current price is published on our pricing page, including home visits, hydrotherapy, classes and add-ons — you will not have to ring and ask.
Yes. We have HICAPS on site for physiotherapy, exercise physiology and remedial massage, so your rebate comes off the invoice immediately and you only pay the gap.
Clinical classes may also be claimable once a clinician has prescribed them as part of your treatment plan, provided your policy covers that clinician’s profession. Pilates-based classes are not claimable — that has been the rule for every clinic in Australia since the 2019 private health reform.
TECAR and Neubie therapy are included in your consultation at no additional charge — they are part of how we treat, not an upsell.
Shockwave is charged as an add-on to the consultation fee; the amount is on the pricing page.
Clinical classes are rehabilitation: a maximum of four people, led by a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist, with an initial assessment first and an individually prescribed program. They suit injury recovery, pain and post-operative rehab.
Performance classes are training: a maximum of six people, led by Pilates instructors, clinicians and strength coaches. An assessment is recommended but not required.
