Physiotherapy
What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy uses advanced techniques and evidence based practice to assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of health conditions and movement disorders. Physiotherapists are highly trained professionals who work in partnership with their patients to help them improve and maintain their physical health. Physiotherapy techniques aim to assist in the repair of tissue damage and speed up recovery, as well as reducing pain and increasing mobility through exercise, manual therapy, advice and education.
At Forge, our Physiotherapists not only assess and treat your current condition, but they work to prevent any further injuries through adequate education and self-management.
We will work closely with your Allied Health team including your GP, specialists, trainers and coaches to provide you with the highest quality of treatment to aid your recovery as well as achieving your goals.
Our Physiotherapists are all trained and qualified Clinical Pilates instructors, which we tie into our treatment plan when appropriate. Clinical Pilates improves your body awareness, helps regain and develop your strength and educates you on how to perform safe and efficient movement.
Physiotherapy can help:
- Reduce pain and stiffness
- Treat sports injuries
- Improve posture and work related issues
- Increase mobility
- Improve quality of life
- Pre and Post Surgical Rehabilitation
- Manage and Reduce Chronic Pain
- Reduce back pain (both acute and chronic)
