What is Pilates?

Pilates is a low-impact exercise method designed to strengthen muscles, improve flexibility, and enhance posture. It focuses on core strength, controlled movements, and mindful breathing, making it an effective workout for all fitness levels.

At our boutique West End Pilates studio, we offer expert-led reformer Pilates classes in a supportive environment. Whether you’re looking to increase strength, recover from an injury, or improve overall well-being, our classes cater to your individual needs.

Our Pilates Classes in West End

Our Beginner Reformer classes are designed to help you build a strong foundation in Pilates. You’ll be guided by experienced physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and Pilates instructors in a supportive, small-group environment.

You’ll learn how to use the Reformer safely and effectively to improve core strength, posture, flexibility, and body awareness. Our classes combine traditional Pilates with evidence-based movement, making them perfect for beginners and those returning to exercise.

Unwind and rejuvenate in our Stretch & Trigger Class, designed to improve flexibility, release muscle tension, and enhance posture. Our expert instructors will guide you through a series of deep stretches, self-mobilization techniques, and muscle release exercises using specialized equipment such as the arc barrel, back balls, foam rollers, and reformers.

Our Mums and Bubs Pilates class is designed to support your postnatal recovery in a safe and welcoming environment. Held on reformer machines, this class helps you regain strength, improve fitness, and restore core stability—all while bringing your little one along. No need for a babysitter!

Experience Studio Pilates the way it was meant to be—using a variety of high-quality Pilates equipment for a full-body workout tailored to your needs. Our small group classes (max 4 people) ensure personalized guidance from expert instructors, blending traditional Pilates principles with clinical expertise for the best results.

What To Wear

To make your Pilates session comfortable and safe, we recommend:

  • Fitted, stretchy activewear – so you can move freely and your instructor can see your posture.

  • Grip socks – required for safety and hygiene. They help prevent slipping and keep our equipment clean (can be purchased at Forge).

  • Supportive tops or sports bras – to make sure you feel comfortable throughout your workout.

  • No zippers, belts or bulky accessories – these can damage the equipment or get in the way.

  • Hair tied back – so nothing distracts you during class.

👉 Arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in, and please keep your phone on silent.
